Veneers
Porcelain veneers act like a covering over the natural tooth, they are used to help enhance a patient smile and make small tweaks that a patient may be self-conscious about. Here at Vevay dental we would recommend booking an appointment for your consultation to discuss veneers. Porcelain veneers or composite veneers can be an option and your dentist will discuss which options would suit the needs and wants of a patient better.
Porcelain veneers are lab-made and the natural tooth would need to be slightly shaved down to prepare it for the veneer. After your consultation, our reception staff would book the patient back in for the preparation of the teeth, an impression would be taken and sent to the lab. The patient would have a set of temporary veneers on while they wait for the lab to make the porcelain veneers. The patient would then be booked back in to receive their perfect smile.
Composite Bonding
Composite bonding can be done in surgery, be less time consuming and also less expensive to the patient. Unlike other cosmetic treatments this does not affect the natural tooth. Composite bonding can be used to lengthen, shape and contour a tooth to the desired way a patient would like using white composite material.
At Vevay dental we would recommend a consultation with the dentist to discuss what you would like from the composite veneers and also to match the shade you desire for your veneers. After this appointment our reception staff can book you back in to achieve your perfect smile in the day. Due to there being no lab work the composite bonding can be done in one day.
If a patient would like a whiter look, we would recommend achieving your desired shade with our teeth whitening course first. Then we can match your new veneers to your whitened teeth.
