Dr John Murphy
M.B B.CH. N.U.I B.DENT.SCI. T.C.D. B.A
Qualified as a medical doctor from UCD and practices conventional and complimentary medicine in a holistic dental practice. Graduated from Trinity College Dublin. He has extensive experience with Cosmetic, Holistic, sedation and orthodontic Dentistry and has featured on all of the TV3 series off ‘Inside and Out’ about changing people from within. He practices mercury- safe dentistry as oppose to ‘mercury free’. He has not placed an amalgam filling in over 30 years and continually sees an enormous benefit to hundreds of patients who had their amalgams removed safely using the IAMOT protocol.
Dr Jamie O Doherty
BDS N.U.I, UCC
Dr Jamie graduated from University College Cork Dental School and Hospital in 2016 (CUDH). He received a ‘College Scholar’ title for his academic results throughout his time there. Jamie has worked in the greater of Dublin area since 2016. He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry. His main goal is to make treatment easier for for patients by being a good listener and helping even the most anxious patients to feel relaxed in the setting. He has an interest in continued professional development and likes to attend courses outside of work hours to enhance clinical work. In his free time Jamie likes to travel and also enjoys playing music.
Dr. Anca Ghidanac
M.B., B. CH., B.D.S.
Dr Anca Ghidanac is originally from Romania. She qualified from the University Titu Maiorescu, Bucharest in 2018. Before starting to work as a dentist, she worked for 3 years in a Dental Imaging Centre, processing dental tomography, and gradually getting more into the dental area.Passionate about Root Canal Treatments, Dr Anca used the microscope from the first instance of practice in making both, coronary and root fillings. Eager and determine to improve, Dr Ghidanac have attended to several courses in order to be up-to-date with the latest developments in dentistry. Dr Ghidanac is a member of the Irish Dental Association and is certified to provide Enlighten Whitening and Zoom Philips Whitening. In her free time, Dr Anca likes to practice Tennis, watch some movies, bake and spend time with friends and family doing outdoor activities.
Catherine has been working with the Vevay Dental team since Dr Murphy first opened his practice in Bray. Catherine studied dental nursing in the Dental hospital and went on to complete her to studies in dental hygiene in Edinburgh. Catherine gained the ability to assess patients, identify oral diseases, recognize systemic influences within the body, and help patients make choices that would affect their health. She passionate about oral health promotion and prevention. In her free time, she loves to go walking and horse-riding.
Kim Joined us in 2018 as a dental nurse, she received her dental nursing diploma from Trinity college in June 2020 and went on to become practice manager in 2022. She is responsible for the day to day running and business side of the practice. She is an enthusiastic person and loves helping patients. She has a friendly and enthusiastic approach to her work. Kim also has a keen interest in oral surgery and promoting oral health promotion. Kim is registered with the Dental Council of Ireland.
Emma has joined our practice as our new trainee dental nurse. She has a great deal of patient experience and has a keen interest in dental. Emma will be greeting patients before being brought through to the surgery as well as assisting the dentist in any dental treatments. Emma is always present with a smile. Emma’s hobbies include reading and art. She has a caring approach to her work and will make any patient feel at ease.
Ava joined the practice recently as our new receptionist. Ava is very much a people person and will greet all our patients with a smile. Ava will go above and beyond to help our patients. Ava’s hobbies include singing and she also plays the piano.
