Extractions

During an examination, your dentist may suggest an extraction of a tooth. This can be for many reasons resulting in the tooth to be beyond repair. If a patient opts for the extraction, your dentist will inform you of what will happen when getting the tooth extracted. After your appointment, your dentist will give you some instructions on how to care for the area. You will also be given an after-care pack.

Most of our extractions are completed under local anaesthetic, if a patient is particularly nervous, we can offer sedation for a smoother appointment for the patient.
